Cosmetic Coordinator, CCMA
Our clinical manager, Kim, has more than twenty years of medical experience, most in the field of dermatology. Her expertise in the clinic puts patients at ease and her humor lightens the mood of each encounter. When not spending time in the office, Kim enjoys playing volleyball, exploring beautiful Virginia destinations, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Business/IT Manager, CCMA
Marylinn, a native of Staunton, joins Shenandoah Dermatology as a clinical assistant, having worked in many medical office roles. In addition to her business office duties, Marylinn can be seen assisting patients in the exam room and scheduling appointments. Outside of Shenandoah Dermatology, Marylinn loves to read, craft and spend time with her dogs.
Front Office Manager
The first face you may see when walking into Shenandoah Dermatology, Rona serves as our front office manager. Her cheerful personality and caring demeanor are a welcome sign to our patients. Having been raised in the Staunton deaf community she is fluent in American Sign Language. When not working, she enjoys supporting Staunton's downtown community and spending time with her family.
Clinical Manager, CMA
Sharon comes to Shenandoah Dermatology with over twenty-five years of experience in the medical field. While you may occasionally see Sharon behind the front desk, she is primarily hard at work as a clinical medical assistant and scribe. Through the years, Sharon has acquired skills and certifications that include CPR instruction, EMT certification and teaching as a clinical medical instructor at Blue Ridge Community College. She has served with the Churchville Volunteer Fire and Rescue, having held office as its president, vice president, treasurer, secretary and rescue lieutenant. When Sharon is not in the office or serving in the community, she enjoys riding motorcycles and taking in the views of the Shenandoah Valley.
Clinical Assistant, CCMA
Emily has worked within the medical field for over 10 years in primary care, orthopedics and otolaryngology. She joined the Shenandoah Dermatology team in 2016 and has brought all of her valuable past experience with her. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and her children. They often enjoy the beauty of the Shenandoah Valley while on family hikes and outings.
Clinical Assistant, RMA, CCMA
Caitlin has been a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant since the spring of 2015. In the fall of 2016, she pursued further medical education and obtained her RMA. During her time outside of the office, Caitlin loves to spend her time doing fun outdoor activities with her husband and their three energetic boys. Caitlin was recently featured in the January-July 2017 edition of the Blue Ridge Community College's Workforce and Continuing Education publication. The article highlighted her determination to further her education and her journey to becoming an RMA.
Front Desk Associate, RMA
Lark is a Registered Medical Assistant and has eight years of experience in the medical office setting. She has an Associates Degree in Science from National College where she obtained her certificate for medical assisting and medical administration. Fundraising for childhood cancer research is very important and she dedicates her free time to finding ways to raise money and getting as much information out to others. Also, she enjoys spending time with her four teenage boys and her large family.
Billing and Insurance
Jean has over 16 years in the billing area. As a member of the billing and insurance team, Jean enjoys talking to patients and works diligently to answer any billing questions and resolve any problems that may arise for the patient. Outside of Shenandoah Dermatology, Jean enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and two grandchildren.
Connie attended Georgia State University and has more than twenty years’ experience in the medical office field, both in family medicine and dermatology. Her expertise is in insurance medication authorizations, and she enjoys the ongoing challenges of getting medications approved for our patients. She is a true music lover and enjoys challenging both coworkers and patients alike in lyric quizzes. In addition, she is an avid political reader, and often enjoys hosting family members at her home, now nicknamed the “Fox Bed and Breakfast”.
