Jane M. Lynch, M.D.
Dr. Lynch received her master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania before earning her MD from the Medical College of Virginia, where she also did her internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Dermatology. She then did a fellowship in Dermatopathology at Johns Hopkins University. She is a board certified Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist through the American Board of Dermatology. She has dedicated her career to meeting the dermatologic needs of the people of the Central Valley and is the immediate past president of the Virginia Dermatology Society. Dr. Lynch also serves on UVA's Cancer Center Community Advisory Council. She was voted by her patients to receive one of "Our Health" magazine's "Best Bedside Manner Awards" in 2019. She lives in the Queen City with her husband Phil, and is the proud mother of three grown children: Mike, Sarah, and Jo.
Kevin Miller, D.O.
Dr. Miller received his medical degree from the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. He then completed a combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania before completing dermatology residency at Hackensack Medical Center in New Jersey. Dr. Miller is a Virginia native, and is excited to return to his home state to help meet the dermatologic needs of Virginians of all ages. He and his wife are proud parents of their newborn son.
Stephen Vance, M.D.
Dr. Stephen L. Vance, MD, MBA is a board certified dermatologist specializing in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. He received his Bachelors degree in political science with highest distinction from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, his MBA in Health Sector Management from Duke University, and his Doctor of Medicine from UNC School of Medicine, Chapel Hill, NC. He completed his residency in dermatology from New York Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center, and his fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology from the University of Iowa.
Patrick Carr, M.D.
He will be starting with us in August 2021
Patrick Carr grew up in Clarksdale, MS with four other siblings on a family crop farm. He graduated from the University of Mississippi Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Biology and then attended the University of Mississippi Medical School. While there, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society during his third year and later graduated Suma Cum Laude. Upon graduation, he received the Walter S. Leathers award for the highest academic average GPA of his class over the 4 years of medical school. Patrick then matched into the University of Virginia dermatology residency where he served as chief resident during his last year. He has been published in many peer reviewed journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery among others. He has also co-authored multiple books chapters and presented at national dermatology meetings.
Patrick is married to his wife Jensen and they both came to love central Virginia after moving here for residency. He enjoys backpacking, road biking, mountain biking, reading, traveling, woodworking, gardening, ken burns documentaries, Broadway shows, and puzzles.
Merrick Kozak, M.D.
Dr. Kozak grew up in Smithfield, VA. He received his Bachelors degree in
biology from the University of Virginia and his Doctor of Medicine from
Virginia Commonwealth University. He completed both his residency in
dermatology and his dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Virginia.
His clinical interests include complex medical dermatology with a particular
interest in autoimmune inflammatory bullous diseases. Dr. Kozak's hobbies
include skiing, running, and white water rafting. He's an avid fan of all
things UVA sports, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. He
enjoys discovering everything central Virginia has to offer with his wife and
their young son.
Brittany Drozdo, PA-C
Brittany Drozdo, PA-C graduated from Mary Baldwin University's Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences from the Physician Assistant Program. During her college and graduate school studies, Brittany was consistently at the top of her class, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She loves living in Virginia with her husband and 3 dogs.
Whitney Colella, PA-C
Whitney E. Colella, PA-C, completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Forensic Science from Baylor University. She attended Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science and obtained a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies. Whitney joins Shenandoah Dermatology with over 4 years experience in dermatology. She enjoys traveling, baking, staying active and spending time with family and friends. Whitney enjoys living in Virginia with her husband, 3 cats, and newborn daughter.
Amanda Hullett, PA-C
She will be starting with us in January 2023
Amanda Hullett, PA-C is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a Diplomate member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She attended Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, VA. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2007 and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2009. She has over 13 years of experience providing dermatology care to underserved communities in rural areas of Virginia, North Carolina, and Arizona.
